After working for 14 years at a large corporation, I was burned out and suffering from the ill effects of stress. I was working in continuous process improvement, fixing business inefficiencies using a holistic approach. I realized I wanted to do more meaningful work where I could use holistic healing on people, not business systems. Enter Traditional Chinese Medicine. I left my job and began my schooling at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Fall 2016.
In my practice I use acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, shiatsu, herbal medicine, dietary shifts, gua sha and cupping. These modalities are used to treat the whole person and help remind the body of it’s healing capacity. I believe all bodies want to be in a state of balance, but sometimes need a gentle reminder. Chinese medicine can help with many health issues faced by people in our hectic world such as pain, digestive issues, gynecological issues, feelings of anxiety and/or depression and fatigue.
I have faced my own health issues and have seen first hand the positive effects that stress reduction, dietary changes and holistic medicine can bring. I am in my 40’s and feel the best I’ve felt since my 20’s. I understand the pressures that a full life can bring and will discuss strategies for introducing lifestyle changes that feel attainable and judgement free. I truly feel honored to walk with you on your healing journey and help you feel your best!
I grew up in a suburb of Seattle and have made Portland my home for the last 18 years. I love the Pacific Northwest and all it offers. When I’m not at school, you can find me tree bathing, listening to live music, gardening, cooking or having an adventure with my small rescue dog, Tammy.
I look forward to working with you!
