I am a soon to be an intern at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, graduating in Summer of 2020. In 2016, I got a certificate in Western herbal medicine from the Sky House Herbal School. I started my journey towards being an herbalist at a very young age; I would love combining plant parts I found in my parents’ backyard to make potions pretending to be Harry Potter! As a Western herbalist, I spend my time wild foraging with my friends to make medicinal oils, tinctures, flower essences, and teas. My love of plants blossomed even more when I started delving into Chinese herbs and formulas. Ever a lover of life bringers and babies, I focus on fertility, prenatal and postpartum care. I got my postpartum doula education in May 2019 to further enrich my abilities to care for parent and baby. My passion is to help parent and child connect with each other and themselves. I do this by teaching new parents how to bond with their babies through touch, speech, and play. While I believe it is so important to make time to connect with our babies, it is equally as important to make time for ourselves. I offer services such as acupuncture, Chinese and Western herbal consults, herbal steams or bajos, shiatsu and tuina massage, aromatherapy, body and facial rejuvenation cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion for both adults and children. In my free time, I enjoy going for walks, getting back to my roots and cooking some of my favorite Colombian dishes, reading fantasy or graphic novels, playing video games (especially anything from The Legend of Zelda series), dancing in my kitchen with a great record playing, putting my bachelors degree to good use by singing opera, and spending time with my partner and my kitty cat, Kola – named after the herb gotu kola!
